Welcome to Crabstock

For many years now there have been many fish festivals and crab festivals all close to the sea and for some strange reason not inland. here at the Lamb Inn, Great Rissington have decided to put on the first inland shellfish festival formerly known as Crabstock. The reason behind Crabstock is to teach the next generation of the health benefits of eating are Great British shellfish, supporting our own UK fishing fleet, for a lot more public awareness of facts of import and export of shellfish through out the UK and to provide everyone coming with a great weekend of brilliant food, live music and knowledge of the industry that we should all love and standby.

My name is Matthew Ayers, for the last 13 years I have been working in some of the best restaurants in the UK, my passion for food is extreme and my knowledge vast. I trained for many years in Cornwall from which my love for fish became apparent, I am now in the Cotswold area were I have found the need to spread the word about the UK shellfish and wet fish for more public awareness of matters that some times go unheard.

I feel that Crabstock is a great opportunity for all the local community to get involved and provide them with a vast knowledge of the industry. i also have been working very closely with the Great Rissington primary school and have asked them to get the children to design our Crabstock logo, in which Harrison Adsett won, congratulations Harrison.

I fully believe that our shellfish is the best and that the UK should unite and keep this wonderful sustainable shellfish on the menu's with great knowledge and pride being from the UK.
